117 Glasses was specifically created for Washing the Walls at Mad Art Gallery in March 2003, displayed in a locked jail cell. A TV monitor played video footage of me washing clean glasses over and over again for several hours. These same glasses, half filled with water, lined the steel benches on either side of the TV. The dress that I wore in the performance hung from the ceiling slightly above and behind the TV.
