People I Have Known, People I Have Been was first installed in a large floor to ceiling bookcase as part of my first solo show, Seeking Nihility, in January 2007. It has since been included in Artfully Alton, an Alton, IL beautification project. The first photograph depicts the first of the Artfully Alton installations in a vacant storefront window. The second photograph shows my current installation at the Second Reading bookstore. People I Have Known, People I Have Been features cheesecloth bundles of found and collected objects and objects that were given to me. Each bundle represents someone I knew or some aspect of my personality. They are individually tagged as if catalogued or filed as part of the ongoing system that is my life.
