Institutional Critique

Recently I have begun to create artworks examining the nature of the art world with an emphasis on what we exhibit as modern, contemporary art, how artworks are presented for display and where art is shown. I am especially interested in the nature of the opening reception as an event unto itself and have initiated several performance-based installations involving art opening attendees as performers. I have also created a series of individual artworks about what is shown as art and how it is presented.
